Timisoara-based post-rock project Ciel, releases new lyric video for “snakes IN the grass” and announces their upcoming album entitled "S.R.A.T.M.E.O.".

Ciel, French for Sky, represents the coronation of abstract notions. Since it's creation in 2016, it aims through each of its materials to reflect basic human emotions and experiences through a philosophical filter. From "Odysseus" through "the Vast and Empty" and now with "S.R.A.T.M.E.O.", it managed to showcase a personal evolution through both an emotional and ideological landscape.
"S.R.A.T.M.E.O." will be released 3rd of March on all major streaming platforms, and will be available on cassette through a limited series of 50 copies.

"S.R.A.T.M.E.O." stands for Silent Revolutions Are The Most Effective Ones, encapsulating a profound reflection on the journey of maturation. There comes a moment in life when one realizes that not everything holds the same subjective importance, and that sometimes, the most transformative revolution is a silent, internal one. This album explores the idea that meaningful change—perhaps all change—begins within before it can manifest outwardly, seeking recognition and validation. Through its sound and narrative, S.R.A.T.M.E.O. invites listeners to embrace the quiet yet powerful evolutions that shape who we become.
The song "snakes IN the grass" is an analogy to a pattern found in all the traditions of indo-european mythology. It tries to describe the cosmological order through an almost animistic perspective, albeit with influences from middle-eastern theology.
Ciel
Formed in 2016 as a means for experimentation, Ciel released a demo EP called Odysseus 2 years later while working on the first album. Even though it was finished in the same year, the band silently fell into a hiatus until the beginning of 2023. Ciel, French for Sky, represents the coronation of abstract notions.
